The session summarises recent legal developments, referring to legal and ombudsman cases, legislation and guidance.
The session is delivered remotely (MS Teams), lasts 90 minutes and consists of a briefing followed by questions and discussion.
This session is aimed at social care practitioners and also other organisations, working with adults in City & Hackney.
The legal implications of inter-agency/multi-agency working are emphasised, illustrated by, for example, self-neglect/hoarding.
This overview is then followed by group work, discussing legal cases, ombudsman cases or safeguarding adult reviews – to understand practical application of the law.
