CHSCP: Group A/B/C - Early Help and Hackney Child Wellbeing Framework

Hackney Council recently completed a review of its internal Early Help model in consultation with children and families, schools, and partner agencies. The review considered the effectiveness and accessibility of pathways into Early Help and assessed the existing organisation of provision against current and projected patterns of need within the borough.

The review has produced a refreshed vision for Early Help in Hackney and identified a series of operational changes which are now beginning to go live. Notably, all requests for support including targeted Early Help  and safeguarding responses will now be made via a single form and screened by a dedicated Early Help team within the Hackney Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This single point of access will simplify the process for families and professionals and ensure consistent timescales and standards are met.

• Obtaining consent from families and young people.

A Note about Groups:

• Group A training is for people who are in contact with or work regularly with children and young people and with their parents/carers
• Group B training is for people who work regularly with children and young people and adults who are parents/carers and may have particular responsibility for safeguarding children
• Group C training is for designated safeguarding leads and managers in organisations employing staff to work with children and families or with responsibility for commissioning or delivering services.

This course is for colleagues that fall into groups A, B and C.
