This is an In Person Course held at The Tomlinson Centre, Queensbridge Road, E8 3ND.
COURSE AIMS
We are all impacted by our past experiences which can have a lasting effect on the way we view and experience the world. This course will introduce practitioners to understand how complex trauma can affect people, how to safeguard themselves from vicarious trauma and help build confidence in applying trauma-informed approaches in their work with people over the course of their lives. Using the existing legal and best practice frameworks embedded in the MCA 2005, The Care Act 2014, The Mental Health Act 1983 inc.2007 amendment and Pan London Safeguarding P&P’s this course will support learners to have a clearer understanding of how to identify and assess trauma associated risks and apply safeguarding procedures as a
priority. The course will reference Hackney SAR’s and context.

Basic principles of trauma-informed approaches (4 R’s)

Application of trauma-informed approaches
