Programme Aim
• To explore effective practice approaches to undertake and oversee safeguarding adult enquiries, in line with the statutory duties and responsibilities set out in the Care Act 2014 and within the requirements of London Multi Agency Adult Safeguarding Policy and Procedures
• To enable participants enhance their skills in safeguarding practice within a person centred context, focusing on the protection outcomes for adults
Learning Outcomes
• Develop knowledge of relevant effective practice approaches when undertaking safeguarding enquiries
• Develop understanding of the legal framework, considering consent, capacity and information sharing to undertake effective safeguarding enquiries and safeguarding planning
• Increase confidence in forming written conclusions/recommendations based on the outcomes and analysis of the information gathered during the enquiry process
• Explore how to effectively contribute to a co-ordinated multiagency safeguarding process when working with risk
• Explore effective practice approaches to demonstrate Making Safeguarding Personal
• Exploring the role of the Safeguarding Adults Manager in the enquiry process
