Domestic Abuse Intervention Service: Assessing Domestic Abuse Risks

Please have a good understanding of domestic abuse already or have attended Introduction to Domestic Abuse virtual training.

One hour briefing focusing on:

• Recognising domestic abuse indicators
• When and how to use the domestic abuse risk indicator checklist
• Working with partner agencies to assess risk

Participants will:

• Gain understanding of what domestic abuse risk indicators
• Gain an understanding of the difference between static and dynamic risk indicators
• Gain confidence in using the domestic abuse risk checklist
• Gain confidence in assessing risk through effective partnership working
